Banbury United Going Green

1 year ago By David Shadbolt

No, rest assured there are no plans to change our traditional strip from Red and Gold to Green!

But there has been a system installed to gather rainwater which hits the roof of the stand and use that to water the pitch. Going green and saving on the water bill at the same time. Grateful thanks to the groundstaff team who have worked hard to put the system all in place which is now working well.

After the downpour we had just after lunchtime today which left the pitch flooded and caused the postponement of a schools final I should imagine we currently have a full tank!!
