Banbury were soon dominating the game and took the lead after just eight minutes albeit there was more than a touch of fortune about how it came about with a corner from the right taken by Kailey Hardy being headed into her own net by an Aylesbury defender at the near post.

In the 18th minute it was 2-0 when an excellent series of sharp passes down the left ended with Emily Parker setting up Jenny Hoggins who struck the ball home from a narrow angle down the left on the edge of the Aylesbury six yard box across the visiting custodian into the far bottom corner of the net.

On 23 minutes Josie Clark put Yazmin Holmes away down the left who took the ball to the by-line before crossing low into the centre, the ball going right across the six yard box to Jess Andrews coming in at the far post who slotted the ball home from close range.

Right on half time Aylesbury conceded a fourth when Holmes struck an excellent shot from the edge of the visitor’s penalty area down the left, the ball flying into the top far corner of the net.

Though Banbury continued to dominate after the break, Aylesbury defended well for the first 25 minutes of the half and it was not until the 72nd minute that a fifth goal arrived when Leah Kinch passed the ball through to Emily Parker on the edge of the Aylesbury penalty area who took the ball forward to the penalty spot before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper.

Six minutes later and Parker scored her second goal when she intercepted a poor pass from a visiting defender 20 yards out down the right, with the ball bouncing up nicely for her to strike it with power into the far corner of the net.

Five minutes from time and Parker would get her hat-trick, all in the space of 13 minutes, when Kate Bullivant put Josie Clark away down the right who then used her pace to get away from two defenders before crossing low into the centre where the incoming Parker was on hand to clinically stroke the ball home from six yards.
