CLUBHOUSE & BAR MANAGER

Are you keen to work in the hospitality trade and join our team? We are looking to recruit a Clubhouse & Bar Manager

We are looking for a well organised person, who enjoys meeting and interacting with people, who will ensure the clubhouse and bar operates smoothly and can manage stock and staff. Someone able to give a high level of customer service and commitment to the football club’s inclusive values. We are an ambitious club, owned by its supporters, at the heart of the Banbury community, always striving to improve and we aim to maximise income and profit for the club from the bar to help us achieve that..

This is a part time job based at our ground at the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium. The clubhouse is busy on matchdays and we look to run a number of functions at the club too, we like to think it is an enjoyable and friendly place to work.

The hours will include working at football matches and events. Usually Saturday afternoons and weekend evening functions plus some midweek evening games. Some weeks may require more working than others, it will be a flexible arrangement. It might suit someone looking for extra work, work around other commitments, or someone looking to gain greater experience in bar management.

Responsibilities / Duties

  • To manage the clubhouse, bar and its associated operations.
  • Recruit, train and manage bar team members. Deal with any staff issues in line with club polices.
  • Ensure that there is a team of bar members so that all bookings can be met and staffed.
  • Ensure that bar team members carry out their duties in line with their job description.
  • Ensure relevant licences are maintained and the clubhouse operates within the terms of these.
  • Manage sales, floats, stock inventory, banking and timesheets in liaison with Treasurer.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
  • Work closely with Commercial team to promote the venue.

Skills Required

  • Previous experience of working in hospitality and managing a bar is desired
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale software.
  • Knowledge of regulations related to alcohol service and health code compliance.
  • Competency in resource management and inventory control.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Previous experience of personnel management is desired..

Remuneration & Hours

This is a part time role, with hours dependent on bookings. We will pay weekly wage to cover management tasks plus an hourly payment for matchdays and functions worked, final details to be agreed with successful applicant.
