Basingstoke are now in their second season in the Southern League Premier Division after relegation from Conference South at the end of season 2015/16. They have not threatened to mount a challenge for a return to the higher level, finishing last season in mid-table and they look to be heading for a similar position this time around though the uncertainty of being able to play at their Camrose Ground, with groundshares with Farnborough and a move to the Winklebury complex in Basingstoke all mooted over the last 12 months, cannot have helped matters.

Basingstoke’s home form this season has though been quite impressive but it is away from the Camrose that they have struggled as before Saturday they had just two wins away those coming against the bottom two teams Dunstable Town and Gosport Borough. But they notched their third away win of the season on Saturday, winning 2-1 at Biggleswade Town, so will not be arriving at the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium lacking in confidence.

Tonight's game is sponsored by West Cornwall Pasty Co

This will provide a quick getaway after the game, avoiding the problems of getting out of Station Approach and help ease possible parking congestion at the ground. Entrance is via Swan Close Road and car park is at the bottom on the right, it is free to park there, thanks to Chiltern Railways. Post Code for the Chiltern Railways Car Park is OX16 5TB. Turn right out of car park, through the bollards and turn right down Station Approach – ground is 300 yards on the right.
