United entertain North Devon side Bideford tomorrow (Saturday) 3.00pm in the battle of the two bottom sides in the table

Tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) sees us entertain Bideford who like ourselves have failed to pick up any points thus far this season, losing at home to Dunstable Town on opening day, getting hammered 6-2 at Cirencester Town and then going down narrowly at Hitchin Town. Their scheduled fourth game was then postponed due to floodlight failure at their ground.

What we do know for sure is that by Saturday evening either ourselves or Bideford or both sides will have one or more points on the board!

The Bideford side is expected to include centre half Chris McGrath son of former Manchester United star Paul McGrath and also Richard Groves, familiar to United supporters of a few years standing, who had a spell at the club on “work experience” from Oxford United.

United will be without Luke Cray who is still on holiday but Nic Evangelinos who missed the Hereford game due to injury trained last evening and should be fit and Elias Katsoloudi is also likely to return after injury.

There have been a few additions to the squad this week, James Yeboah a 20 year-old centre half who was formerly with the Tottenham Hotspur academy. He has since had a spell with Isthmian League Division One North side Redbridge. Jordan Jackson a 19 year-old striker who has previously played for Welling United, Fisher Athletic and Cray Valley. Also having signed on is 20 year-old Michael Tamou who has been a regular with FA Assyria based in Ealing, West London who play in the Middlesex County Football League.
