The board of Banbury United Football Club are delighted to announce a new sponsorship deal with Bourton Drain Services.

The deal will involve the company substantially increasing their current advertising with large banners around the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium. One of the most eye-catching parts of the new relationship will be Bourton Drains sponsoring United manager Mike Ford’s office!

Bourton Drain Services based at the Beaumont Business Centre in Banbury were only too happy to be supporting the club, commenting on the news, owner Karl Thompson said “I’ve enjoyed being a pitch side sponsor for a number of years, but felt the time was right to help the club more. It’s a community club now and my company has been in this community for 30 years, so it’s important to support the club in what it’s trying to achieve. Banbury United‘s in the best shape it’s been for a very long time and long may it continue”

Banbury United’s Commercial Director, Mark Allitt was also delighted to see Bourton Drains increase their backing to United and added “I’m very pleased to be able to conclude this deal with Bourton Drain Services. Karl Thompson and myself have been discussing this for a couple of months and I can’t thank him enough for the extra backing he’s giving the club. It’s a nice touch for Karl to be sponsoring Mike’s office, we just hope results don’t go down the drain from now on! Karl is also a member of Stewart Green’s team on Puritans Radio so he’s really on board with what we’re trying to achieve as a community club.”

Club Chairman Ronnie Johnson was delighted with the deal reached with Bourton Drains and said “Bourton Drains is a very well-known local company. I’d like to thank Karl Thompson for his extra support as we look to move the club forward”
