The picture above shows the results of four volunteer’s work over the past few days. The Grounds Care team have never seen the terracing so clean and clear of weeds. All thanks to the tremendous effort of Cheryl and Ray Messer, Lawrence White and Richard Pickersgill. Without their assistance and conscientious work it is doubtful the Grounds Care team would have managed – they are still trying to sort out how to put up the goal nets (see photo below!

There are still jobs for volunteers willing to spend a few hours down at the ground. In particular we have quite a bit of painting to carry out (see picture below) before the new season kicks off. We have the paint, brushes and turps subs – just bring gloves and old clothes. Volunteers welcome most afternoons after 2pm. Call Nigel Porter on 07756 799 800 for more details.
