Harry White who had two spells at Banbury United over the last couple of seasons has joined Barnsley on a two year contract from Gloucester City.

20 year-old Harry White joined Banbury United from then Midland Alliance side Coventry Sphinx in March 2013. He had previously played for Midland Combination side Earlswood Town. He made in his first spell with Banbury eight appearances but then opted at the end of that season to play football in the USA for Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois.

After returning to the UK he re-signed for Banbury at the beginning of October 2014 scoring a hat-trick in a Southern League Cup game against Daventry Town in the middle of that month. His second spell at Banbury would though only last five games before Conference North side Gloucester City gave him the opportunity to play at a higher level with him going on to score seven league goals for them in the remainder of the season.

Everyone at Banbury United would like to wish Harry the best of luck with his new club

The above news follows just a short time after another player with United last season, Jordan Green, signed a one year contract with Premiership side AFC Bournemouth at the end of July.
