After our fantastic inaugural year as a community owned club in 2015-16 we have now launched membership for 2016-17

Membership is of the Community Benefit Society which owns the football club and, by joining, members get an equal stake and say in the running of the club.

This year we have two categories of membership. £10.00 is the rate for full membership of the club. It allows full voting rights. For those who are able to give a little more we have gold membership at £25.00. As well as full voting rights it includes additional benefits as below.

• travel free on team/supporters coach to one away game (a maximum number per match will apply)

• one free pint of lager/bitter/cider or soft drink at three designated matches;

• 10 % discount on specified items from the club shop;

• other offers during the season

Membership Forms have been posted to all of last year’s members. New members can pick up a form at home games or can download one from the CBS information section of the website just click here

We had a great response to our “Members go free” offer for the Wellingborough game with over 20 new members signing up along with plenty of renewals.

You can post your form to Membership Secretary Mike Seaton or he will be on hand at forthcoming league home games to take in forms. Membership cards will be posted or available for collection.

A number of members also bought Community Shares in the club in 2015-16. This support was vital in enabling the club to start building up its reserves. We would ask supporters if they would consider purchasing (additional) shares to strengthen the financial footing of the club for 2016-17 and beyond. The Community Share application form is also available CBS information section of the website - just click here

The aims of the club are as below.

• enhancing the social, cultural and economic value of the Club to its Communities and by acting as a responsible custodian of the club for future generations;

• upholding the mutual ownership of the Club operating democratically, fairly and transparently;

• ensuring the Club operates with financial responsibility enabling the Club to be run for the long term interest of the Community;

• providing sporting facilities and opportunities regardless of age, income, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexuality, religious or moral belief; and

• playing at the highest level possible, but always operating in a financially responsible and prudent manner.

Any queries please contact the Membership Secretary, Mike Seaton, membership@banburyunitedfc.co.uk

With your support the club can go from strength to strength. We are United!
