The club Board would like to offer a belated thank you to everyone who helped ensure that the Hereford game last Tuesday ran so smoothly.

There were many people involved in making sure the ground was ready for the evening. On the night providing entry through four turnstiles and a busy officials entrance was also undertaken by volunteers along with programme and raffle sales, helping in the clubhouse and running the pop up bar at the Town End.

We know that our personnel who talked to Hereford supporters were grateful for their kinds comments about arrangements.

We know too that there were varying views about the decision to segregate and how we chose to do it. We are grateful to all our supporters who came out on the evening to support the team, often not from their usual vantage points - thank you for your understanding. We were of course relieved by the weather and that the 300 red ponchos we purchased were not required.

The club worked closely with Thames Valley Police, MJ Events Stewarding and Newman and CB Protection to provide a safe environment within the ground. We know that there were issues outside of the ground which TVP dealt with and, as acknowledged by Hereford FC too these were not instigated by regular Banbury United supporters.
