Tomorrow (Saturday) Banbury United entertain Hitchin Town in their final Southern League Premier Central Division game of the season 3.00pm kick-off

It has been a difficult season for the Hertfordshire side, in the relegation places right up to December though some improvement since then has seen them gradually edge away from the bottom three relegation places to safety albeit unless they beat United tomorrow they are certain to finish fourth from bottom. United won at Top Field back in early September 1-0 with a goal ten minutes into the second half from Jack Self.

Banbury go into their final league game in decent form, being unbeaten in their last five games, including wins over St Neots Town and King’s Lynn Town and most recently a deserved point on Easter Monday in a 1-1 draw away to play-off bound Alvechurch.
