Banbury United and Jeff Wilkinson, the long-term front man of Banbury 60’s comedy band Chuckletruck, have entered into an exciting partnership to bring top class cabaret shows to Banbury.

Using the Club’s Spencer Entertainment and Party Venue, the first night will be on Saturday 20th April. Jeff will be compering various nights throughout the year to include three act line-ups, with solo artists, comedians and bands to perform at the Club’s Spencer Entertainment and Party Venue. The all ticket shows will cost £10 per person.

Banbury United Promotions Manager Mark Allitt said “The club is absolutely delighted to be working in partnership with Jeff. He’s obviously well known in our town for all his years in the local music scene with Chuckletruck. However, he’s become equally well connected across the country and has a vast array of contacts in the entertainment business. He’ll be putting together some brilliant nights for the people of Banbury to enjoy at the Spencer. He has the contacts and we have the venue, so we’re looking forward to giving people something to really enjoy and a guaranteed good night out!

Also commenting on the news Jeff Wilkinson said “I’m really happy to be supporting and promoting cabaret nights at Banbury United and the Spencer is a cracking venue for what I want to do. We’ve put on a couple of nights already with Chuckletruck and they’ve been really successful and I’ll be following the same format. People who have come along to those nights I’m sure will love these ones too and I really encourage them to come along. We’ll be bringing in talented up and coming solo singers, top comedians and bands who will get everyone on the dancefloor. I’ll be compering the nights and I think the people of Banbury will really enjoy what we’re putting on and it’s at the town’s football club which is already a hub of the community and I’m really keen to help them too”
