Magna in Action provide support to Banbury United's Under 18 team

The club are delighted that Magna in Action, the charitable arm of Magna Exteriors (Banbury) Limited, are supporting the club's U18 team this season.

The board of Banbury United are delighted to announce that Magna in Action, the charitable arm of Magna Exteriors (Banbury) Limited will be providing substantial financial support to the club’s Under 18 team for the 2017-18 season.

This will result in branding on the Under-18s’ tracksuits, warm-up kit and training kit, plus the back of the home shirt. Commenting on the news, Banbury United Commercial Director Mark Allitt said “I’m delighted that Magna in Action have chosen our reformed under 18 team as a cause they want to support. We are extremely fortunate to have Magna Exteriors sponsoring the club as well, so we have a tremendous partnership forming with one of Banbury’s largest employers. With the sponsorship Magna in Action are providing it’s giving the opportunity for youngsters to develop as players and progress into our first team.”

Magna in Action Treasurer Greg Howse was also really pleased to confirm the sponsorship and said “The Magna in Action committee were more than happy to support the Banbury United under 18 team. With Banbury United becoming a Community club owned by its supporters, it’s an obvious cause for Magna in Action to support. Being able to support young people in our community as they enjoy football is something we want to do and be part of and I look forward to see players from the under 18s progress to Banbury United’s first team.”

Banbury United Interim Chairman Martin Cantrell also commented “I’m absolutely delighted that Magna in Action will be supporting our under 18 team for the forthcoming season. To have them alongside us as we start this new venture is reassuring and exciting in equal measure and I’m very grateful to have the support of Greg Howse and the rest of the Magna in Action committee.”

Magna in Action, the charitable arm of Magna Exteriors (Banbury) Limited, based in Beaumont Road, Banbury, was set up in the summer of 2016. The Committee has authorisation to allocate funds to the local community’s deserving causes; requests for funding are made by employees.
