We welcome Chorley to the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium

Following our last gasp win against Bradford (Park Avenue) on Tuesday night we entertain the Puritan faithful at the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium once again this Saturday as we host Chorley.

Our Match sponsors are Norbar, Banbury based world leaders in torque construction.

Banbury’s form has picked up again in recent weeks following a poor spell and we’re back up to 8th place. We have now won 3 on the trot scoring 11 goals in those 3 games. We look to continue that form come Saturday against a side who have also won their last 3.

Chorley currently sit 9th in the table, one place and 2 points behind us, however they have a game in hand on us. They have won 4 of their last 5 games, their most recent result being a 1-0 FA Trophy win over Leek Town. Their most recent league result was a 2-0 win over Kettering. Chorley’s top scorer this season is Connor Hall, the former Sheffield United man has scored 9 goals in 18 games this season and neutralising him will be key if Banbury are to get a result come Saturday.

There will be a collection at the game for Freddie’s Future. Freddie will be at the game and his parents explain “Hello! We are a real life superhero parents! Our little boy Freddie was only 6 years old when he was diagnosed with a bone cancer called Ewing’s sarcoma. His gruelling treatment took nearly 9 months, and put our little Freddie through so much, way too much for a child to ever have to go through. Sadly the treatment is very out of date and the statistics are terrifying to read, and way more needs to be done to improve this. That is why we fight for a cure through our charity - Freddie’s Future, part of the Bone Cancer Research Trust. You can read his full story here here

As advised all our games are now segregated. Banbury supporters should enter the ground via the Town End turnstiles which will open from 1.00 pm tomorrow.

Admission prices are: Adults £15, Concessions £11 Students with ID £8, U18s £5 U11s £2.

We welcome Chorley supporters who have been allocated the Sutton End of the ground. This is standing only. Chorley supporters must buy advance tickets for entry see our ticketing portal. You should enter the ground via the Sutton End turnstiles that are to the far left of the main car park. Stewards will be on hand to direct you. Toilets, refreshments including bar sales are available at the Sutton End. Turnstiles will open from 1.30 pm.

With a large crowd anticipated please ensure you leave plenty of time for parking (see below) and getting into the ground.

We have a 60 page programme available at a cost of £3 with regular features on our opponents, Sam’s Travels, Getting to know Henry Landers and a fascinating historical article with a tenuous link to our opponents!

There is very limited spectator parking at the ground. It is always available for those requiring accessible parking. Spectators also cannot park on Station Approach or on Tramway Road. Additional car parking is available close by in the Banbury Railway Station car park off Station Approach, where, thanks to the great support of Chiltern Railways, parking charges will not apply between 1300 hrs and 1830 hrs on Saturdays. Free parking also includes Banbury Station East Car Park the multi storey car park. Although slightly further from the ground you will be able to depart quicker from this car park after the game than from Station Approach.

The support on Tuesday night was amazing and the celebrations when Jay Williams scored the winner were an example of what makes football special. Let’s get behind Whingy and the lads once again on Saturday! We are United!
