The board of Banbury United are delighted to announce that McDonald’s Banbury will be the club’s Women’s team away shirt sponsor for the 2017-18 season. Commenting on the news, Banbury United’s Women’s Secretary Hannah Thomas said “I’m delighted that such a well-known brand such as McDonald’s will be supporting our reformed Women’s section. Jane Blackwell the out-going McDonald’s franchisee, has been a big help in getting the Banbury United Women’s section up and running again and I now look forward to working alongside Joanne Jones who is taking over the Gateway and Beaumont Road outlets in Banbury.”

McDonald’s Joanne Jones was equally happy to be supporting the town’s supporter owned club and said “We’re thrilled to be supporting the Banbury United Women’s team. We have strong links with the club and enjoy sponsoring the first team as well, so to be able to support the Women too really is great news for us. We look forward to seeing the Women’s section grow from strength to strength.”

Banbury United Commercial Director, Mark Allitt was also very happy to have McDonald’s supporting the Women’s team and said “I’m extremely grateful to Joanne and her team at McDonald’s for their increased and continued support to Banbury United. I’m delighted that local businesses in the town continue to support our community ownership model.”
