Manager Mike Ford looks ahead to the start of the pre-season fixtures which begin with a home game against Easington Sports on Saturday

"As usual for pre-season we have had plenty of players attending the sessions that we have delivered so far, as well as the numerous calls from agents, texts from players telling us why they can no longer commit and then the player who has agreed to sign, made it public that he has, then you hear from another club's website he has stayed with them. Just a normal pre season!

"All managers will say its gone great, I've yet to hear from one who has said it's been a disaster, although there are times when it can be difficult.

"The players have worked hard as you would expect, the coaching has been very well led by assistant manager Anton Sambrook and head coach Eddie Odhiambo. The sessions have been designed so that everything we do on the training pitch is in relation to what we are looking to achieve on a matchday, even at this early stage. I hope in our first friendly supporters will see a difference in the way we will be playing this season, the staff and players have bought into the philosophy and hopefully so will the fans."
