A good night at the club

There was a good turnout for the Oxford United Legends Evening with our manager Mike Ford and former player Les Robinson reminiscing about their football career at The Manor and elsewhere.

Club Ambassador Ronnie Johnson compered the evening and Puritans Radio's Dave England prompted Mike and Les with questions.

Both gave a great insight into the life of lower league professional footballers in the 1980s and 1990s - talking about how they came into the game, who were the biggest influences on their careers, memorable matches and opponents and best players they played with.

Les was also keen to go off piste and told some interesting stories about trips overseas and Mike, but what goes on tour/legends' night stays on tour/legends' night!

It was an enjoyable evening and we are grateful to Les and Mike for their support of it.
