Fourteen of Banbury United’s squad and management team have already been snapped up by sponsors for the current 2015-16 season.

Supporters of the community club are leading the way, by choosing players from Mike Ford’s new look squad to sponsor for the new campaign.

Long term United supporter Warren Bartlett, has been assisting interim commercial director, Mark Allitt, with sponsorship activity. He’s been taking the lead on player sponsorship and has been delighted with what’s been achieved so far and commented “The amount of supporters coming forward to sponsor the players has been really pleasing. We’ve also got local firms like Walraven, Premier Diagnostics and RDT Motors, plus our very own Puritans Radio, so the mix is really good for us. It’s also great news that a former Banbury United favourite, Paul Duester, is sponsoring Joe Coleman on his return to full fitness and creating that link between the old and current players”

However, there are still nine of the players and management team that need sponsoring and Warren went onto say, “It’s a real boost when a player hears that a supporter or company likes them enough to want sponsor them. I now want to get the rest of the squad sponsored as soon as possible, so I would encourage anyone interested in doing this to get in touch, as we’d be delighted to hear from them”
