Membership of Club Reaches 200

The Interim Steering Group of the Community Benefit Society are pleased to announce that membership of the club has surpassed 200 with the latest figures showing that 205 people have now joined the community club.

In addition the Community Share offer has now generated over £11,000 of income.

Commenting on the news the Interim Steering Group secretary Stephen Barlow said, “It is fantastic to have reached the 200 mark for membership. There is real momentum building within the club and reaching this milestone gives us a very solid base, as well as generating £2,000 of income. “

”The Community Share money is for longer term projects and it is great to be building up the club’s reserves.”

Barlow was keen to stress that he hoped all club supporters would want to join their club.

“I know there are a number of supporters yet to join. We hope that they can see the benefit of community ownership and help get behind the club.”

Members will have their say in how the club is run when the first AGM of the Community Benefit Society is held, planned for 17 November.

In addition the Interim Steering Group has started positive dialogue with the Ladies, Inclusive Disability and Mini Puritans sections. This, it is hoped will lead to a more inclusive club and with it generate further support

Members have the opportunity to bring a friend for free to this Saturday's Family Day when Banbury take on Mangotsfield.
