28 year-old left sided defender or midfielder Tom James, who was most recently with Leamington, has joined Banbury United.
He began his career in the youth structure at Leamington and was part of that club’s Midland Alliance Championship winning squad of season 2006/07. After moving on to Stratford Town he was spotted by Watford and joined them in the summer of 2011. Though not making a league appearance for the Hornets he did make a substitute appearance for them in an FA Cup game against Bradford City.
Released by Watford at the end of season 2011/12 he joined Nuneaton Town, having a loan spell back at Leamington whilst there. He has since played for Corby Town, Daventry Town, Tamworth, Hednesford Town and Rugby Town (on loan) before returning to Leamington in the summer of 2016 and was part of the Brakes’ Southern League promotion winning squad last season.
Tom is expected to be in the squad for tomorrow's game at Kings Langley.
