Paul was originally with Forest Green Rovers and made over 150 first team appearances for the then Conference National side, as well as having loan spells with Yate Town and Cinderford Town and a couple of loan stints with Gloucester City. He then moved to fellow Conference National side Mansfield Town in the summer of 2010 before joining another Conference National side Bath City 12 months later.

In the summer of 2012 Paul joined Conference North side Oxford City, at that time managed by current Banbury United manager Mike Ford.

After a couple of loan spells with Slough Town in season 2015/16, Paul opted to join them permanently in the summer of 2016, making 49 first team appearances for the Rebels last season as they reached the Southern League Premier Division play-offs before moving this past summer to National League South side Hungerford Town.

In other squad news, U18 goalkeeper Charlie Barnett has now signed Southern Leauge forms for the club.
