United entertain St Ives Town tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) 3.00pm

Tomorrow will see St Ives Town’s first ever trip to the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium as prior to this season the clubs had never met home or away in any competition.

Like ourselves they earned promotion to the Premier Division at the end of last season through the play-offs, in their case a win in the Central Division play-off final against AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

After a decent first month to the season at the higher level, St Ives had a disappointing run of results in September failing to win a game and were soon in the bottom four. However, any thoughts of them permanently occupying such a position for the rest of the season have been banished with a much improved run of results since then which means they currently sit comfortably in mid-table.

We went to St Ives for the league game against them back in late October and though taking an early lead through Conor McDonagh the Cambridgeshire side fought back to level by half time and that is how the game finished.

Due to the efforts of the groundstaff, the ground has recovered from Storm Doris and it is all systems go for tomorrow’s game.

Away supporters are advised to use OX16 5AB for their Sat-Nav as the club’s official postcode may well take you elsewhere!

Admission Prices: Adults £10, Concessions (Over 60s and Full Time Students) £6, Under 16s £1.

Programme: £2.

Kick-off 3.00pm

Free to sit in the stand

Hot Food available in the Clubhouse.

Free parking

Supporters should note that the old Chiltern Railways Car Park on the Tramway Industrial Estate is still available for parking free of charge. This will provide a quick getaway after the game, avoiding the problems of getting out of Station Approach and help ease possible parking congestion at the ground. Entrance is via Swan Close Road and car park is at the bottom on the right, it is free to park there, thanks to Chiltern Railways. Post Code for the Chiltern Railways Car Park is OX16 5TB. Turn right out of car park, through the bollards and turn right down Station Approach – ground is 300 yards on the right.
