Ground Improvements at the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium continue

With a number of supporters, who are perhaps not in the flush of youth, pointing out to us that it is getting rather difficult for them to climb to the top of the stand to get a good view of the game, the club has listened and taken action.

There has now been a handrail in the middle of the stand installed to help those that need it to get to the top of the stand for the best view.

The club is grateful to the excellent work undertaken by Pete English to install the handrail. Pete can be seen in the foreground of the picture in front of the handrail. Behind is Inclusive Disability Chairman Roy Mold trying out the handrail. He commented "This is great, these steps are quite steep even for someone as youthful as me, it's just the job and I am sure a number of our supporters will appreciate the helping hand!"

The club has also now got the match day office (see photo below) sorted out and being used on match days. This is located next to the changing rooms. Previously most of the match day administration and office work was carried out from the Boardroom. This had become very difficult due to a lack of space and the admin work being carried out from there impacted on the hospitality provision that we were able to make from the Boardroom to visiting club and match officials and made the matchday admin tasks equally difficult. Barry Worsley, David Shadbolt and others will be carrying out their matchday tasks from the office. With the increased space and working Wi-Fi it will also enable David to update the website quicker on matchdays, thus providing a better service. Just to emphasise nothing of value is left in the office outside of matchdays.

Also work has been done on replacing electrical boxes on the floodlight pylons which had fallen into a poor state over many years of use.
