This will be the third consecutive season that the clubs have met in Southern League Premier Division action. After a win apiece in season 2016/17, United did the double over the Warwickshire side last season, after a 3-2 win at Knights Lane on New Year's Day the game at the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium played on a Thursday evening in April saw a comfortable 4-0 win for the Puritans, albeit this was aided by sending off after just fifteen minutes of Louis Connor the visiting goalkeeper for bringing down Amer Awadh and denying a clear goalscoring opportunity.
United will go into the game unbeaten this season, having drawn their opening game at Rushall Olympic and then getting the better of Halesowen Town and then Leiston at the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium. Meanwhile, Stratford have had an inconsistent start to the season for after an opening day win at home to St Neots Town then lost 3-0 away to Stourbridge before gaining a creditable draw away to Royston Town. Yesterday though they played Lowestoft Town at Knights Lane, the Suffolk side winning 3-1. United had a free day yesterday due to Bedworth United's involvement in the FA Cup.
Former Puritans Kynan Isaac, Nabil Shariff, Claudio Dias and Albi Skendi have all appeared for Stratford this season so there are likely to be a number of familiar faces in the visiting line-up!

The old Chiltern Railway car park on Tramway Industrial Estate is available for use, free of charge. As this is a local derby and a Bank Holiday we are expecting a higher than normal crowd for the game, so it would be very helpful to the club if local supporters who know their way around were able to use this facilty.
