The board of Banbury United Football Club are delighted to announce that the McDonalds restaurants in Bridge Street and on the Gateway are the latest to join United’s Red and Gold Business Club ahead of the 2016/17 season.

The Banbury United board and its members are actively looking to engage with the local business community. The Red & Gold Club offers corporate sponsorship with a package including programme advert, perimeter board, a match sponsorship, season tickets and free hire of the clubhouse.

United’s Commercial Director Mark Allitt was delighted to welcome McDonalds into the group and said “Jane Blackwell and her team at McDonalds have been actively involved supporting our youth sections and we’re now really pleased she has decided to sponsor the first team as well. She has a couple of restaurants in the town and it’s great to have such a recognisable brand as McDonalds as one of our sponsors”

McDonald’s franchisee Jane Blackwell, was also pleased to be supporting the club and commented “I own two McDonalds’ franchises in the town and I think it’s very important for us to be involved in Community projects such as the one going on at Banbury United. I’ve been in discussions with the club for some time and been impressed with the vision they have, so I’m only too happy to support the Banbury fans in what they’re trying to achieve. Hopefully we’re going to have a long and successful partnership with the club and look forward to seeing them build on their recent promotion”
