Banbury United is pleased to confirm that it is supporting ARCh with a new partnership. ARCh is Oxfordshire’s leading children’s reading charity with a network of more than 250 volunteers who work with around 800 children in over 100 primary schools throughout the county.

Jeremy Turner, Field Worker, ARCh said: “ARCh is delighted to team up with Banbury United FC in a new, ground-breaking partnership that will kickstart plans to recruit, train and place more reading helpers in local primary schools.

“ We are indebted to the club for their generous support. It will strengthen our links with schools in the Banbury area and enable us to spread the enjoyment and confidence that reading brings into the lives of young children.”

Martin Cantrell, Vice-Chairman of Banbury United, added

“Our partnership with ARCh is a key element of our United in the Community programme. In the future we will be developing our football programmes in local schools and this partnership with ARCh will enable youngsters to develop, at the same time, a vital love of reading alongside their love of football. In the months ahead we will be organising initiatives at Banbury United and looking to work in local schools as part of this exciting collaboration.”
