As announced last Friday, the Board took the step to suspend Henry Landers for 14 days pending further investigations of the news that was reported in last week’s media.

During the past 7 days, the club have taken action to get further clarification on the legal aspects of this serious case and Henry’s rehabilitation programme. We have met with Henry, been in contact with the FA and are also in discussion with our major stakeholders.

This is a complex issue for the club and we know it is a cause for concern to our supporters. As a club, we will do everything necessary to finalise the matter swiftly. Our intention is to conclude this within the period of suspension and we will make an announcement in due course.

17 September statement

Yesterday morning we became aware of Henry Landers court case and sentence as reported in the media.

The club have taken the action to suspend Henry for 14 days, and therefore he will not travel with the Squad to Nantwich.

During this time the club will consider the matter further and will make another announcement in due course.
