u15 United made the longest trip of the season to Goring on a wet and blustery morning in South Oxfordshire. Goring are a strong side and were placed 2nd going into the game and also in the Trophy final. Goring made the best possible start after 3 minutes as United backed off the big centre forward he smashed the ball in from the edge of the area. United responded well though and Dziugas Ringys was able to prod home for an equaliser. United with the howling wind in their favour started to press more. Callum Moon then hit the crossbar with a free kick from fully 35 yards that rebounded safe and the referee adjudging it not to have crossed the line. However the same player immediately scored from the left channel cracking an unstoppable shot on the turn high into the far corner for the lead. This stirred Goring into a fine response and the same player earned the home side parity just before the break with the third great goal of the game. HT 2-2 and a very even contest.
The second started with Goring pushing United back and the ball just couldnt get forward, this meant a tactical switch to try and get some more strength and power into the midfield to feed the forwards. This proved crucial as Dziugas Ringys was able to pounce on a short back pass to restore United's lead. Goring responded moving similar players to the United, however United were able to seize on the gaps at the back and scored a goal in the last minute, a cool finish from Dziugas Ringys to complete a fine hat trick!
