Easington v Banbury under 10 (friendly)

A crisp October morning’s friendly had been arranged between Easington Sports and Banbury Utd under 10’s.
The home side took the early initiative after a neatly saved cross/shot with the keeper’s feet was pounced on for Easington’s 1st goal. It wasn’t long before Easington scored a 2nd, the shot hitting the post and again Easington were clinical with the 2nd phase of play.

Banbury showed good determination to try and get back into the match, a fine turn and shot from Max Galloway hitting the post followed a couple of minutes later when Liam Piggott played a fine pass across the Easington back line and Max shot narrowly wide.

Towards the end of the half Easington broke away and a pass across goal was followed in to earn the home side a 3-0 half time lead.
A couple of minutes into the 2nd half and a through ball found Rowyn Moore who executed perfectly to reduce the deficit to 3-1.
Easington were determined though and 2 minutes later it was 4-1 after some neat passes were finished with a fine shot. Easington got their 5th after a corner was not dealt with and an Easington player was unmarked at the far post to slot the ball in.

Banbury were finding it difficult to contain Easington’s movement. The goal of the game followed, a lovely cross from the wing sailed over the Banbury keeper and was headed in neatly to make it 6-1.
Again, Easington’s determination to win the 2nd ball was evident as a great save from Kallum Vaughan could not prevent a 7th with the follow up.
