Banbury United Under 11’s wasted no time asserting authority from the start in this match at Easington rec.
An early chance fell to Filip Wójcik who shot narrowly wide of the goal. It wasn’t too long before Banbury took the lead, Cole Relton feeding a neat pass for Charlie Woods to finish in fine style.
Joseph Sparkes nearly doubled the lead with a shot marginally wide of the goal and a few minutes later he had better luck with a great header to make it 2-0.
Banbury continued to dominate, Max Galloway adding a 3rd and Rowyn Moore increasing the lead to 4-0 as half time approached.
A few minutes into the 2nd half Cole scored a penalty kick to make it 5-0. It wasn’t too long before Rowyn was again on the scoresheet for a finely worked 6th.
Filip added to Banbury’s lead and Rowyn again found himself in on goal for a hat-trick.
Greater Leys’ work was finally rewarded as they added a consolation goal towards the end. Final Score Banbury 8 Greater Leys 1.
