United U11's finish the season strongly

Banbury Utd Under 11s had a welcome home game for the final league game of the season.

The game started slow then burst into life as Joseph Sparkes had Banbury’s first effort on target in the 22nd minute, the Cholsey keeper parried it to Liam Piggott who finished neatly to put the boys 1-0 up. Two minutes later Charlie Woods had a tamer effort saved. Banbury played free flowing football and in the 27th minute a turn and shot from Rowyn Moore doubled the lead. Rowyn was unlucky not to get a 2nd goal in as many minutes as a fierce shot was tipped over the bar. Just before half time Cholsey halved the deficit to 2-1.

Banbury had a good start to the 2nd half as Edward Leney had a speculative shot that ended in the net for 3-1. Cholsey again got back into it in the 40th minute, scoring from a direct free kick to make the score 3-2. Four minutes later Cholsey again had a free kick in a similar position, this time hitting the cross bar.
The game opened up and in the 50th minute Rowyn hit a low shot into the corner to make it 4-2 to Banbury. In the 56th minute Rowyn again finished a fine Banbury move for his hat-trick. Late in the game Liam hit a fine ball across which Max Galloway got on the end of, his header just over the bar.
