Banbury United are looking to recruit a 1st team coach for the upcoming season to work in Andy Whing’s management team. This is to cover matchdays and midweek evening training sessions for the club’s 1st team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with an ambitious well-run semi-professional football club. It would suit someone who has strong experience of coaching at semi-professional level, step 4 and above.

Purpose of the role

Responsible for the delivery of the First Team coaching programme and for the development of individual players.

Core Responsibilities

• Effectively plan, deliver and evaluate coaching sessions in line with the Manager's philosophy and the club's coaching programme.

• Work closely with the backroom staff to produce and deliver detailed regular individual player progress sessions, and produce and implement individual player development plans for specific players highlighted by the Manager.

• Undertake all reasonable tasks assigned by the first team manager, including video analysis, individual training plus liaising with Trialists.

• Continuously look to identify opportunities to improve operations and practises in the coaching department

• Challenge the Manager on all technical and tactical aspects on a match day.

• Any other duties as required by the football club within the reasonable demands of the role.
