Banbury progress to Senior Cup semi-finals but it needs a last minute goal from Joe Coleman to give them a 1-0 victory over Bicester Town

Banbury United progress to the Oxfordshire Senior Cup semi-finals but make very hard work of beating a plucky Bicester Town side playing three levels below them in the football pyramid.

The game had plenty of chances but in Banbury's case they were not taken primarily due to some poor finishing though credit should also go the Bicester goalkeeper whilst in Bicester's case they were to be denied by some excellent saves from Joe Murrell.

It was overall tough luck on Bicester when Joe Coleman popped up in the 91st minute of the game to strike the ball home off the post to give Banbury a 1-0 win.

Banbury United now join Carterton in the semi-finals where these two sides will be joined by the winner of the Kidlington v Oxford City Nomads game and the winner of the Oxford United v North Leigh game, both of those games to be played later this month

Semi-final draw to be made on Saturday 26th February

Banbury United: Joe Murrell, Ollie Stanbridge, Luke Cray, Delroy Gordon (Declan Benjamin 58), Adam Learoyd, Malachi Farquharson, Joe Coleman, David Staff, David Stone, Jason Taylor, Marvin Martin. Unused Subs: Harrison Foster, Anton Sambrook.
