Banbury made the better start to this game and took the lead in the 14th minute when a through ball to Ricky Johnson saw the Banbury striker get to the ball ahead of Steve Casey before using his strength to shrug off the attentions of the defender (see photo below) and then slotting the ball past Kevin Sawyer into the right hand corner of the custodian's net.
Banbury continued to have the better of the remainder of the half but found it difficult to open up the visiting defence and failing to create further clear cut chances.
Chippenham began the second half much brighter and it was no surprise when they equalised on 62 minutes, a cross from the left being struck home by Alan Griffin.
Chippenham looked the better side for the rest of the game and the more likely to win it and may feel they missed an opportunity to pick up all three points though overall based on the whole 90 minutes it was probably a fair result.
