Banbury Charities, overseen by Cllr Ian Harwood, have contributed £10,000 towards the project - a substantial show of support that will play a key role in safeguarding the club’s facilities.
The club also gratefully received a £500 donation from the Unite union members at JDE, further strengthening the fundraising effort.
The roof work is an important part of ensuring the Spencer Stadium remains a safe, welcoming and sustainable home for players, supporters, volunteers and the wider community.
Chairman Wayne Farrell said:
“We are extremely grateful for the support shown by Banbury Charities and the Unite members at JDE. These contributions will make a real difference as we carry out important work to protect and improve our facilities.
Banbury United is proud to be at the heart of the local community, and backing of this nature is invaluable as we look to secure the long-term future of the club.”
Banbury United would like to place on record its sincere thanks to both organisations for their generosity and continued support.
Thanks,
Wayne Farrell
