Banbury exited the League Cup at the hands of AFC Reading although it’s not all bad news as we are now eligible for the Plate Trophy, the draw yet to be made.

The game itself was a closer affair than the score suggests. We had chances which we failed to capitalise on but were punished for every mistake.

The squad played brave and worked hard as usual and saw the game through to the final whistle and despite the final scoreline continued to show effort, enthusiasm, commitment and most importantly, progress.
