Banbury v Blyth

Banbury v Blyth

. Banbury United31 Mar 2023 - 08:00

Match Preview

It’s our fourth home league game in a fortnight at the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium on Saturday as we face Blyth Spartans, searching for a win to boost our chances of moving up the table.

We currently sit 18th, four points above the drop zone and five points clear of our visitors Blyth.

Blyth’s recent form leading up to Tuesday evening had been patchy but they stunned leaders Fylde with 3-0 win on the road that evening whilst we took heart from 0-0 draw against Darlington.

It’s Footy for a Fiver for all - Adults, Concessions, Students, U18s and £2 for U11s. Please tell your friends and let’s get a bumper gate in to boost the team.

You can buy tickets in advance on our online ticketing site .

As advised all our games are now segregated. Banbury supporters should enter the ground via the Town End turnstiles - cash/card and pre-purchased ticket holders may enter here. Pre-purchased ticket holders may also enter via the Clubhouse turnstiles, there is no cash/card payment here. Please follow directions of stewards. Turnstiles will open from 1.15 pm on Saturday.

We welcome Blyth supporters who have been allocated the Sutton End of the ground. This is standing only. You should enter the ground via the Sutton End turnstiles that are to the far left of the main car park. Stewards will be on hand to direct you. Toilets, refreshments including bar sales are available at the Sutton End but there is no access to the clubhouse for away supporters. Turnstiles will open from 1.30 pm.

With a large crowd anticipated please ensure you leave plenty of time for parking (see below) and getting into the ground.

A reminder again that possession or use of smoke bombs or pyros within a football ground is a criminal offence.. We are reviewing cctv footage from last Saturday and will take action against those who used them. We anticipate a fine from the FA because of this. If you support the team you would not use these.

There is very limited spectator parking at the ground. It is always available for those requiring accessible parking. Spectators also cannot park on Station Approach or on Tramway Road. Additional car parking is available close by in the Banbury Railway Station car park off Station Approach, free of charge form 1330 hrs on Saturdays thanks to the support of Chiltern Railways. This includes Banbury Station East Car Park the multi storey car park off Merton Street, the other side of the station. Although slightly further from the ground you will be able to depart quicker from this car park after the game than from Station Approach.
