Longer term supporters will remember that Bill was a regular home and away supporter of both Banbury Spencer and Banbury United for many years until ill-health and a move away from the area prevented him from following the Club in person.

For many years he donated a bottle of whisky to any player scoring a hat-trick or goalkeeper saving a penalty. He also produced the excellent Banbury Fanzine which ran for a number of years in the 1990s.

His funeral is on Thursday 29th November at St Lawrences in Bidford-on-Avon.

The club is grateful to his daughter, Cheryl, for informing us of Bill’s passing and would like to send their condolences to her and the rest of his family.
