Free drinks vouchers on offer to anyone able to provide occasional or one-off lifts for our away match commentary team

Our new Puritans LIVE matchday commentary service – sponsored by John Brambley and Superior Fast Food – is now up and running well. Thank you to everyone for the feedback as we've trialled the set-up in pre-season.

One element that can’t be fixed with a tech solution is getting our commentary team to every away match. Dave and his co-commentators all require lifts to matches. Public transport, particularly to easterly fixtures, is not workable in most cases. There is insufficient cover for the season from the current volunteer support, meaning that there will be no broadcasts from certain matches – starting with Quorn this Saturday.

In order to provide match commentary for every away match this season, we are appealing for people to come forward and offer to take two people from Puritans LIVE to an away match. In return, for every return journey, the Club will provide two complimentary drinks vouchers, to redeem against drinks from The Spencer Clubhouse bar at a home match of your choice.

Please email Claire (clairedumbreck@banburyunitedfc.co.uk) if you think you might be able to help at some point during the season. This is not you committing to anything, just an indication that you might be able to help at some point! When we know of a match that needs transport, we’ll email or WhatsApp and ask if it suits anyone to take Dave.

Perhaps this is the nudge you need to go to a Banbury United away match? Could this be the perfect way for you to volunteer for the Club (without the weeding!)?

We are also interested to hear from anyone who would like to offer match commentary services to the Club on a voluntary basis so that we have more ways in which to offer a complete broadcast service.

Thank you.
