Charlie is an 18 year-old attacking midfielder who joined the Burton Albion academy at the age of 15, after spending seven years with the Aston Villa academy. He was awarded a scholarship by the Brewers ahead of the 2020/21 season but impressed enough to be offered a two year professional contract in September 2021 which he accepted. Though yet to make a Football League appearance for Albion, Charlie made his senior debut for them in a Football League Trophy game against MK Dons in August 2021 before spending time out on loan last season with Redditch United and Leamington.

Charlie joins fellow Brewer Ben Radcliffe at the club and trained with the team last night. Subject to his registration being processed he will be in the squad for the trip to Darlington tomorrow.
