Connor and Amer receive Spencer Villa Fund Support

. Banbury United7 Oct 2019 - 10:00

Banbury United contracted players Connor Roberts and Amer Adwah will be supported by the club's Spencer Villa Fund during the 2019-20 season.

Connor is contracted until May 2020 and Amer until May 2021. Both are key players in Mike Ford’s squad.

The fund was set up, shortly after the fan takeover in August 2015 for fans to pay into and support the first team playing budget. The fund has nearly 40 contributors from all over the world, including Australia. The fund was recently boosted by another significant contribution from John Brambley who was recently visiting from Australia. The club was delighted to present John with a Banbury United Polo shirt to take back home.

The fund is managed by long term supporter Geoff Gray and if anyone would like further details on the fund and how to start paying into it, then please talk to Geoff. Standing order forms are available to download and one-off donations will also be able to be paid into the fund. Information can be found on the Banbury United Website

Commercial Director Mark Allitt is thankful to the fund's contributors and said “The club is extremely grateful for the continued support from our loyal Spencer Villa fund members. We know how much our fans already pay to support the team home and away, but we also know from people approaching us, that there are some who want to support the club further. This is a huge bonus to us and the playing squad.”

Supporters can donate as little as a £1 per week by standing order and those that pay into the fund will get a lapel badge and their names entered into a draw at the end of the season for a weekend break away.
