David was appointed a director in January 1982, bringing as reported in local press to the Club wide experience in local sports such as being treasurer of Banbury & District Sports Advisory Council, Chairman of Banbury Table Tennis League and Fixtures Secretary at Banbury Tennis Club.

He took over as Secretary from long serving Raymond Alcock in 1985, a position he held until 1996 when he became Secretary of Hellenic League, however remained at Banbury United in role as Honorary President. This was until 2013 according to list of officials printed in club programmes!

David’s funeral will take place at St Peter & St Paul’s Church Kings Sutton, Thursday 23rd May 2024, at 1pm.

The Club sends its deepest sympathy to David’s family and friends.
