Ben previously managed Wantage Town and during that time he was manager in the Southern League South and West and last season steered the club to the Hellenic Premier Division title. Prior to that he managed Carterton where they were successful in winning the Hellenic League Division One West.

Ben is due to complete his UEFA B licence in the upcoming months with the ambition to progress to the A Licence.

Ben currently works as an extended services manager at a school in Oxford which involves delivering the PE for the school and managing all of the extra-curricular activities.

Commenting on his appointment Ben says “I am really looking forward to joining such an ambitious club. The development team have a key role to play in terms of supporting the first team and it is my role to develop our young players and continue the clubs winning mentality.”

Banbury United Chairman Phil Lines says “I’m delighted that a manager of the calibre of Ben wants to take on this role. It is a testimony to the progress made at the club in all areas in the past four years. A successful Development team is very important to the future of the club and it is great to have such a talented manager take charge of them”.

The Development team will play in UHL Hellenic Division Two North in 2019-20. They play their first friendly tomorrow (Tuesday) evening at home to Adderbury Park, 7 pm kick off, admission is free.
