The sponsorship will mean the club receiving a substantial four figures sum over the next two seasons.
DHL and Banbury United have been in partnership for the past three seasons and United’s Commercial Director Mark Allitt was delighted the relationship would be continuing for at least another two. He said “This is tremendous news for the club and our supporters. Not only are DHL extending their backing to us, but they are increasing their financial commitment as well. I’m extremely pleased to have such a large, well known company as part of our sponsorship portfolio. DHL are a big employer in our community, who are showing great support to what we’re doing at Banbury United.”
Also commenting on the recent news DHL’s New Business Support Manager Sarah Tustian said “We think it’s important to support community projects such as the one at Banbury United and with their commitment to youth football, it’s entirely appropriate that we give them our support. We look forward to seeing the club progress further over the next two years and build on the success so far”
Puritans Chairman Ronnie Johnson was also very pleased with the news and added “By DHL extending their commitment to us, it gives us further encouragement to keep pushing our supporter owned club forward. It’s a further endorsement that the club is making progress in the eyes of the town’s business community”
