Dear All,
As the season end's I thought I would bring everyone up to date on the season so far, it’s been one of our most successful season's so far, with our under 10 utd, u11 utd and u11 puritans winning their leagues, with our under 10 Spencer runners up and under 11 Spencer winning the end of season supplementary league. Two of our most successful teams have been our under 11 utd who were treble winners, winning league, cup and Supplementary league and our under 13's winning the County and currently pushing for the top of the Oxford Mail league, the first team in our history to win a County Cup.
Even without trophies, I’ve seen some good football played in the right way by many of our teams this season; I’d just like to thank all the hard working coaches who are always trying to play football the right way.
As the FA change their rules once again we have new challenges ahead, the changes mean we will now have teams playing 5v5, 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11 football next season, so more pitches needed, less players in teams at a young age mean more coaches needed.
Presentation nights are approaching and this year after listening to feedback from parents we are trying something new, with the minis having an entertainer, the u8' to u12's will be snail racing, we had an event like this a few years ago and it was a great night, so hopefully more of the same.
Signing on morning will be Sunday 2nd June, times to be published, again after feedback from parents, we are changing things a little with the training kit lasting 2 seasons and next season instead of a training kit we will look at tracksuits or coats.
Our Mini's programme is flourishing with 2 new teams for next season and around 40 under 5's means the futures bright.
As always a new under5’s will start in September, if there are any younger brothers or sisters that are interested, details will be on the website in August.
Hopefully we will have a summer of sunshine, so relax and rest for all, (except for all the 6 aside’s of course).
The paperwork has gone off top the FA and Football leagues for next season, so it will soon start all over again!
Cheers
Dewain Clarke
