The club can confirm the signing of 21 year old midfielder Sam Humphreys from Hayes & Yeading United

Sam was with Oxford United from the age of seven, progressing to complete a two year scholarship with them before earning a one year professional contract at the end of season 2013/14.

He made his Football League debut for Oxford United in the final game of the 2014/15 season when coming on as a substitute against Newport County. His contract was extended for a further year at the end of that season.

He had a spell out on loan to Northern Premier League side Rushall Olympic last season but didn’t make another league appearance for Oxford United and they agreed to cancel his contract in March 2016 when he was given the opportunity to go and play for Norwegian fourth tier side FK Valdres.

Upon returning to the UK, Sam signed in August for Hayes & Yeading United, then managed by Mickey Lewis who had worked with him at Oxford United. He made 16 appearances for Hayes & Yeading United this season and scored two goals.

He is expected to be included in the squad to face Dunstable this evening
