Banbury United are pleased to announce the signing of exciting attacking midfielder Fran Cherchi, who joins us after coming through the West Bromwich Albion academy and youth setups.

Fran is a creative force in the final third, with excellent technical ability and attacking vision, earning praise for his flair and midfield dynamism throughout his time at West Brom.

Manager, Kelvin Langmead, said: “Fran’s arrival brings creativity and hunger to our attacking options, and his application and commitment in training has been excellent. He’s a young talent with a bright future, and we’re excited to support his development and help him make his mark here at Banbury.”

Fran will be involved alongside his teammates in all our pre-season fixtures, so head down to The Spencer for any of the 4 home fixtures to catch him and the rest of the team in action. It’s footy for a fiver!
