Welcome to Banbury United, Carl!

New Banbury United FC General Manager, Carl Parton, has started work at the Club. This strategically important employed position will help propel our otherwise volunteer-led business forward, both on and off the pitch.

In a wide-reaching role, Carl now essentially manages the day-to-day operations of Banbury United and its people, covering the bar and clubhouse, facilities management, service contracts, matchday operations, and football and Club administration.

Carl brings over 10 years’ experience in operations management. He joins us from Solihull Moors FC where he was Club Secretary and Football Administration Officer. Prior to that he was Academy Operations Assistant Manager at Wolverhampton Wanderers. He has a Level 7 Diploma in Operations Management, certificates in budget planning and business administration, and a Certificate in Elite Player Care and Wellbeing through the UCFB university.

Says Lisa Dixon, Director at Banbury United FC, “Carl impressed us with his highly organised nature and proven track record in designing and implementing new operational processes, procedures and company policies. This is exactly what Banbury United needs. There is a direct correlation between exemplary administration and income growth that I am sure we will be able to prove to our members this season. We are already learning a lot from Carl.

"I’m delighted to be starting my new role as General Manager at Banbury United FC,” said Carl Parton.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for me personally and professionally. It is a challenge out of my comfort zone, but one I'm relishing. The reception I’ve received from the Board, volunteers and first team staff and players has been amazing. I look forward to meeting member and supporters at our first pre-season home fixture against Easington Sports on Tuesday 16th July.”
