Banbury United volunteer, John Ward's, funeral will be held on Friday 4th October, 1pm at Banbury Crematorium. More details can be found here.

We are honoured to be asked to host John’s wake after the funeral service.

Funeral directors and Banbury United sponsor, Edd Frost & Daughters, will be bringing John to the Club around 12:20pm on that day. Anyone who wishes to congregate in the carpark to pay their respects on John’s final visit to Banbury United should arrive no later than 12 noon in order to avoid blockages on Station Approach.

For anyone who wishes to attend the service, there will most likely be a crowd of us gathering outside in the crematorium’s courtyard and surrounding area where we can hear the service via the outdoor speakers.

John’s family has asked that all involved on the day wear Tottenham Hotspur FC, Banbury Utd or any football shirts to add to the occasion.

A Book of Condolence is now at the Club and is available in the Club Shop for friends and colleagues to write in.
We are aware of the collective need, among John’s Banbury United family and many others in the town, to remember him and celebrate his life at the stadium where he gave so much.

We are in the process of discussing ideas with John’s family and will provide further information in due course.
