Welcome to Banbury United, Louis Hall!

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Louis Hall, a 24-year-old left back, who joins the Puritans for the 23/24 season following his departure from Leamington FC.

Louis' journey commenced at Aston Villa, where he honed his skills as a promising young talent. Subsequently, he further refined his abilities within Kidderminster Harriers' esteemed academy. Embarking on a non-league trajectory during his teenage years, Louis made notable contributions at Stourbridge, Bromsgrove Sporting, and Bedford Town before moving on to Step 2.

In the curtailed 2020/21 season, Louis made his mark in National League South with Oxford City. Particularly noteworthy was his involvement in ousting a team three tiers above in the competition's first round, triumphing over Northampton Town.

The summer of 2021 heralded a successful trial period for Louis at League 2's Newport County, culminating in a one-year contract. He made his debut in the EFL cup securing a 1-0 victory against Ipswich Town. Despite limited first team opportunities in Wales, Louis joined National League North's Gloucester City on loan, fortifying their left-back position for the remaining 19 fixtures.

With his release from Newport County, Louis signed for Leamington ahead of the 22/23 season, in which he scored his first goal for the club with a back post header against Banbury forcing the Puritans to their first defeat in the National League. Hall went on to make 40 league starts for The Brakes before departing at the end of the 22/23 season.

Louis Hall is in line to make his home debut against Chester this Saturday.
He said: “I’m excited to be here and looking forward to getting started at home on Saturday. I’ve joined a club with a great fanbase which is something I experienced firsthand playing Banbury last season, and the staff and players have been very welcoming so it’s all positive! UTP!”

Welcome Louis Hall.
